In 2009, Zenith celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Zenith El Primero Tourbillion, which was created in 1969. This special occasion is marked by the appearance of two versions that welcome the first watch with a mystical movement. El Primero: Originals and New Vintage 1969. Zenith El Primero Tourbillion for these special series is named 469 to celebrate the birth of the first watch.

The automatic Date Chronograph movement is made up of 278 elements and 31 jewels. The body design consists of 3 parts with a diameter of 400mm and is made of three metals: steel, rose gold and titanium. The first series was named: “The Originals” with a classic design but impressive on the wrist with striking scales on the dial. The second collection “New Vintage 1969” combines models inspired by the first timepiece.
