In 2009, Zenith celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Zenith El Primero Tourbillion, which was created in 1969. This special occasion is marked by the arrival of two versions celebrating the first timepiece with a magical movement. The El Primero phone: Originals and New Vintage 1969. The Zenith El Primero Tourbillion movement for these special series is named 469 to commemorate the birth of the first watch.

The automatic Date Chronograph movement is made up of 278 details and 31 jewels. The body design consists of 3 parts 400mm in diameter and is made of three metals: steel, rose gold and titanium. The first series to be named: “The Originals” has a classic design but impressive on the wrist with prominent scales on the dial. The second collection “New Vintage 1969” incorporates models that were inspired by the very first watch.
